A couple of users are draining our AI budget (apiquota.com)

Hi all, I don’t think I’m the only one facing this problem, so I’d like to share our story. We have a SaaS with around 100k monthly active users and continuously improve our features using AI. We knew costs would increase as we added more AI features, but a couple of weeks ago, our AI spend started growing exponentially. It was clear that we’d either need to raise prices or stop enhancing our product with AI-powered features.

Frequent price changes aren’t ideal, and stopping AI improvements wasn’t an option. Instead, we found another approach: assigning AI token limits based on user subscriptions. We created a widget called APIQuota, allowing us to allocate tokens based on subscription plans. Users who need more tokens can easily buy additional ones. For example, users uploading PDFs can continue doing so as much as they need by refilling their AI tokens.

I just wanted to share this idea, and if anyone is interested in trying our widget, we’d be happy to give you access. You can check it out at www.apiquota.com

I have no idea what this site is doing and who is it for. Who are those “subscribers? Also how can a waiting list get you 100k users?
Our SaaS (avena.io) already has around 100k active users who use various features, some powered by AI. The “subscribers” refer to our users on different subscription plans of our main SAAS product. The waiting list is for our widget, APIQuota, which we developed to manage AI usage effectively. It’s unrelated to the total number of our current SaaS users but could be useful for other platforms facing similar AI cost challenges.
Is this just an ad disguised as a post?
I’m not selling anything. I have my SaaS healthy and running. I just want to share this in case someone else finds it useful.
good idea, bad pitch
Thank you! I didn’t mean to pitch; it was just a personal story I wanted to share.
