Show HN: Impersona – Chatroom where messages are run through an LLM

Impersona is a chatroom where all messages are thematically transformed using AI. For example, you can chat as a pirate or Shakespeare, and no matter what you type the theme is enforced for you and everyone else in the room.

Much of the discourse around AI focuses on productivity gains or worker displacement, but I’ve always been more interested in the fun and seemingly meaningless aspects — things that don’t serve a practical purpose but were previously impossible. Infinite Craft is a great example of this.

I also love social experiments and believe there are many unexplored avenues in combining LLMs with multiplayer experiences. I hope to see more of this in the future!
