Show HN: Inkline – An(other) AI powered document editor (inkline.ai)

Hi HN ,

I've built an AI-powered document editor that helps you write and think clearly. Picture Google Docs, but with the capability to engage in conversations with AI across individual or multiple documents simultaneously, generating new content based on a shared context.

This app began as a personal-project fueled by my own interest in exploring AI. I built this to solve a problem that I've often encountered, and which (at least at the point when I started) didn't seem like any tool I tried solved to my liking.

Writing helps me think clearly. It calms and focuses my brain. However, I often struggle with keeping my notes organized, finding them scattered across various mediums—be it online or offline. Think thoughts scribbled in random notebooks; ideas jotted on the back of receipts; so many google docs with half baked notions and inklings and nothingness.

That's why I built Inkline. Its minimalist design helps you focus when writing. Its AI assistant helps you write drafts, edit, and get creative (ask it about recipes at your own risk though). You can aggregate information by connecting documents together, so the AI can answer questions about content in any connected document. If you're on a higher paid plan, you can transcribe your notes through audio recording, and can even have a lovely British guy called Matthew read back what you wrote - because most things sound smarter in British.

Overall, this tool has helped me stay more organized, and has led me to enjoy writing again.

Early feedback has been encouraging, and I'm excited to share this with more people. So I'm setting this little AI project out to sail into the very red ocean of AI tools. Your feedback is appreciated.

Note: No Artificial Intelligence was used in the writing of this post. Just some below-average human intelligence, that probably could have benefitted from some help from AI.

.... if only there was a tool for that...
