Show HN: iOS Development as a Subscription (swiftapplab.com)
2 points by nikolai_tarasov 834 days ago
Hi there! I recently launched my iOS development agency with a subscription model, inspired by DesignJoy founder Brett Williams. My agency is among the first (possibly the first?) to offer iOS development services on a month-to-month basis. The subscription is flexible, allowing for pauses or cancellations at any time. With 10 years of experience in software development and success as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies, I aim to leverage my expertise to help startups and other companies elevate their iOS development.

How does a fixed monthly fee equate to...

> Only pay for the actual time spent developing your requested features. Not a single minute extra.

That just sounds like a standard time & materials contract?

Actually that text is a leftover and it supposed to be updated. Thank you for pointing out! You're completely right, the point of subscription-based model is that you don't worry about the clock but just get your feature requests done for a fixed monthly fee. There's no contracts in this model and the subscription can be paused, for example, when there's operational pause or no dev work to do, or cancelled anytime for any reason.
