I always assume these ARR bragging posts are just fake it till you make it lies.
wrapper's delight
I’ve always been very skeptical of people making claims on annualized returns. I’ve known far too many people who have one good week and annualized it, as if that week will be every week.

The GPT space seems new enough where anything could happen to blow this up in a second. I wish them the best, but hope they don’t go spending as if this is revenue they can count on forever.

These businesses also basically have no moat since 99% of it is just openAI
Of course they are full of it, Anything-"GPT" hasn't been out long enough for ANY company to make a claim at serious gains, including OpenAI themselves.
I think OpenAI is pretty close to being able to say they're capable of pivoting their product and its APIs to do whatever the market demands.
It would be nice to see the costs as well since GPT API can get very costly. Profits is what matters...
Super impressive and I like how he's honest about how the differentiation here was timing. He was a first mover (if not the first mover) in this space and that allowed him to win in a space where differentiating on technology is almost impossible.
So what's next?
Wrappers around GPT wrappers, naturally.
How much in profit?
