Musicians union 'prepared to do whatever it needs' for AI protections (cnn.com)

One could get the impression that musicians are hostile to innovation. Such discussions arise with practically every major technological advance. With the introduction of the radio, then the record player, the drum machine, etc.; yet half of copyright law, including related rights, already revolves around musicians and composers. The world is evolving. I am a musician myself (even professionally for a few years). The market has been broken for a long time. AI won't change that either.
I'm excited for all the future musicians who might have been [at least partially] trained by excellent AI teachers.
So far there is not much to learn from AI as a musician; it's rather the other way round, at least for another decade.
