Something interesting is that this is not limited to one or a few countries but a situation that is currently encountered in most developed countries.

Here in France, authorities are whining because the tax income that they get from house sales is desperately low because of that. But they are highly responsible for the current situation. Especially by milking buyers with high taxes.
