Obviously depends on your lifestyle but there’s a non zero chance having the solar panels would cause net range loss cause of the drag increase.
I think it would be less about the range and more about camping and remote locations for myself. So if you need to power a little mini-fridge or keep your car alive while you go out on a long term hike it could do that.

Trying to use it exclusively to charge your car for long distance driving would be pretty painful. Only about 8-9mph.
