  This is now implemented. I will start doing
  prereleases soon.
  This will not be an ABI/API change.

I'm a big fan of 1.0 releases not being a huge change to software.

Just business as usual, but with the implication that it's pretty settled into how it should work.

Separate to my appreciation for more odd versioning schemes, like the one TeX uses.
