I've got sympathy for anyone that moved during COVID and got "stuck" with regards to their new career/social life/etc - that shit was hard.
That said, this is really just an overall example of how not to date or interact with people in general though. Don't drone on about your day to day work and don't expect that the Google office is going to impress anyone, much less in... Seattle, where it's a sea of tech people.
They're lonely because there's work to do on themselves that they haven't done. The tech job ain't the problem.

Couldn't agree more. Try new hobbies and adventures and find more purposely intriguing things to spend your time. For example find a good cause and volunteer or join a outdoors club. This will improve your social skills instead of being bland and talk about work all the time.
