Hey HN, I'm excited to share a project I've been working on.

With Understand Better you can learn languages with natural language listening exercises. You can view the transcript and translate individual sentences or the whole text if you get stuck. Each lesson is topped off by a comprehension quiz.

Background: I've been trying to learn European Portuguese since a long time with apps like Duolingo etc. but have been struggling to understand native speakers here in Portugal where I'm based. Understand Better helps me get used to the flow of the language, while giving me enough help to get unstuck if I lose track.
