He says the definition of consciousness isn't a mystery but he feels the need to make his own definition. Doesn't that mean its definition was kind of mysterious? Also this is just an ad for some kind of woo woo tiara that they are selling.

But he didn't say that. He said Nagle's definition is good and has spread in use among experts. He says that is a good definition.

There's only like 3 states: awake, dreaming, psychedelic? Shouldn't they all be studied?
