Likewise in southern Finland. Usually there's a week or two of really oppressive heat, but not this year. Just 20C-ish (70F-ish) and light cloud cover, keeping' it not beach weather but certainly perfect for doing stuff outdoors. Occasional surprise afternoon rain to keep the plants happy.
OTOH it's been a bad-ish year for berries and tomatoes, and AFAIK nobody can quite figure out why.
Are you living in the same Seattle-area I am, or are you new to the area? Because weeks of >80F is not a "nice summer" in Seattle, especially for those that don't have A/C (which, because of the previously mild summer climate in Seattle, is probably most homes).
Yes, it's been high 70/low 80s most of the days which is absolutely beautiful. There's been a handful of hot days, but still comfortable under tree cover.
I’ve been here for 7 years and live in Seattle core, would absolutely agree with them: given how our summers have been going, this is a quite nice summer.
The no AC thing pisses me off every year but it’s been far more manageable this year. Knock on wood we get through one more month without some insanity.
Driving through Phoenix and a good chunk of Texas and seeing the number of big trucks with massive exhaust pipes, well sorry not sorry for this quote: the lord helps those that help themselves.
