To be pedantic, this data doesn't say anything about the far right. For that, you would need to cite data about the far right itself (instead of red vs blue states), or lacking that try to argue correlations between far right presence in red majority in states affecting averages to whatever degree or something, though thats a quite weak argument imo.

(This is not a statement about whether far right is obsessed with fitness, I'm just saying that the data cited does not directly say anything about the question.)

It would be interesting to compare this to the average voter age per state as well. The I suspect correlation between weight and voting tendency might be bridged by age.
Interesting article on obesity compared state wise. MSNBC(https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/pandemic-fitness...) last week had published that right wing is obsessed with fitness.
