Show HN: AmpTrip – The Simplest Way to Plan Your EV Trip and Estimate Costs (amptrip.com)

Hello HN!

I'm excited to introduce AmpTrip (https://amptrip.com), a new tool that we've launched today, focused on simplifying EV trip planning.

As a team, we were frustrated with the complexities of planning trips with an EV. The main questions were straightforward, such as "Will my EV make the distance?" and "How much will the trip cost?" but getting these answers was far from simple. We found that the existing tools were jargon-heavy and required too many inputs.

This led us to develop AmpTrip. We've worked to strip away the complexities and make the process intuitive. With AmpTrip, you can easily calculate your EV range, estimate the cost of your trip, and manage range anxiety with our tools.

As we've just launched, AmpTrip is currently in beta, US only (for now)and we're very keen to get feedback from the HN community. We'd love for you to try it out and tell us what you think. Your feedback will help us refine the platform and make it even better.

Check out AmpTrip here: https://amptrip.com

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Please sell me on why this is a better alternative to ABRP.
ABPR is a good product but a ton of inputs, and not geared towards EV newbies who are not familiar with terms like SoC, reference consumption, charging overhead, etc..This is designed to give simple answers to simple questions such as cost to charge at home vs public station, how much charge time needed to make my trip, etc.
