We have at least 3 laserdisc players, the latest being McIntosh MLD 7020 (basically a reskinned Pioneer CLD-97). Watched Falling Down last week.

We haven't noticed any degradation issues with the discs themselves. By the article we should assume it's because they've been stored well.

Humidity is probably the key, so depending on where you are there will be a massive variance in lifespan of the discs.
Have a pile of inherited laserdiscs. not sure what to do with em.. Anyone want to trade vintage computers for a bunch of laserdiscs?
