I thought my thoughts on being a barista would be interesting to people on HN.

A little about me, I'm a laid off software engineer (early Jan), who decided to explore being a barista for a few months.

This is super interesting. Thanks for sharing! I've actually been thinking about taking a job as a barista for 6 months (or longer) because I'm a coffee geek and spend so much time in cafees anyways XD

You should do it!

It's honestly so different than working as a SWE. I've really enjoyed the change in pace, and I think I've become more social since starting.
