| Hi HN, I'm building a AI coach to guide reflection and help people find meaning in their experiences. After not coding for about 10 years, I started learning python 6 months ago, did a few personal web scraping and data parsing projects. I wanted to work with some APIs, and the timing led me to GPT. I've always been a big advocate for wellness having previously worked in youth development. For this project, I wanted to harness GPT's ability to understand language in a way to deepen a person's understanding of an experience but also reduce or limit potentially harmful AI hallucinations. While I don't think AI is capable of replacing human therapists or coaches yet, a tool like this could either lighten the load for them to serve more severe cases, or provide early support for underserved clients due to high cost, or not enough practitioners. I have not implemented saving of past discussions yet. And I've removed logins for the next few days to make it easier for you all to check out. Let me know what you think. I'm also looking for more potential users to talk to. If you've had experience or are interested in personal, life coaching and would like to have a 15min chat about what worked and what didn't, let me know. |
I hope this new undertaking works out well for you--this stood out to me, so just to offer:
I find that at least 50% of my techie coaching clients are extremely interested in privacy. They'd definitely skim the privacy policy and would be turned off the moment they detect boilerplate.
A good number of those people, to include HNW individuals, absolutely will not share personal information, to include things like specific emotional reactions to events, unless it's in a discussion in a format of their choice. Even then they hesitate.
So, just to offer that I think a very conspicuously-addressed privacy policy with no missing data, etc. could be a valuable sales or marketing tool for you.
As a coach myself I'd be interested in helping clients interface with this kind of tech but I'd also want to know how every ethical and privacy-oriented aspect is dealt with at a your-org's-policy-level. Are you yourself interfacing with ethically-trained professionals or receiving ongoing training, etc. That could be a really valuable add-on.
Anyway. Good luck with the new project!
