Hey HN community! I'm excited to share my latest project with you - Snap Search, a privacy-focused incognito browser designed specifically for Android users. My goal with Snap Search was to provide a secure and private browsing experience that doesn't compromise on features or usability.
Key features of Snap Search include:
1) Always-incognito browsing: Snap Search keeps your browsing history and personal data completely private by default.
2) Built-in ad blocker: Enjoy an ad-free browsing experience with Snap Search's integrated ad blocker.
3)Inbuilt VPN Mode: Conceal your IP address while browsing online with Snap Search's inbuilt VPN feature.
4) Translate Websites: Effortlessly translate any website into your preferred language.
> £3.49/month ($4.33) subscription, 7 days free trial.
I always appreciate it when apps are up front with their cost, but I didn't see anything about price in this post or on the Play Store. I always feel tricked when this happens.
I have to provide my billing details and sign up to a subscription just to test the browser. Of course, I can cancel the subscription before the trial ends, but I'll definitely forget to do that.
For that reason, I can't provide any feedback on the app itself, only the barrier to entry I'm faced with before I can try it.
That's not to say I'm happy with "free" browsers like Google Chrome, because they certainly aren't up front with their cost of use.

And so much more...
