Show HN: Shareable maps with data encoded in the URL (ironmaps.github.io)

Hi HN, I built a tool to create minimalistic vector maps online, and generate a URL with the entire dataset as query params.

The URLs generated are off-putting, but in turn you get private shareable maps.

The code for the website is also open source and lives at https://github.com/ironmaps/mapinurl/ .

Please let me know if you have any usecases I could solve for.

I never like the type of web apps that put data in the URL, they become unbearable to share.

I put down a few points, drew a box over south america, it resulted in a URL that is almost 1700 characters long.

This is pretty cool! Nice tool.
Thank you, I hope you'd find it useful.
