I sure wish people understood that the driver is in control for all driver assistance systems in vehicles on the road today!

It’s like if you use cruise control, it’s your responsibility as the driver not so let the car crash when that feature is enabled. It’s not an inherent design flaw in cruise control if you screw that up.

If you’re not cool with that, don’t enable this beta system and accept all the warnings.

You can't call a system "Autopilot" without having at least some percentage of the population not understand its name is really just borderline fraudulent marketing. People get complacent when systems work most of the time.

Also, people that might get hit by a malfunctioning Autopilot don't get to opt out from getting hit by "Autopilot".

These articles have somehow become the worst kind of clickbait
