Does anybody else see how this could be a disaster? You won't really even know if the person you're discussing an issue with exists. I suppose management can have more time networking and HR can run their mandatory training without even lifting a finger now but this could be really bad for everything from compliance to corporate culture.

You need a company account to sign in though, it's not like any internet rando can connect.

In a large organization it's unrealistic to know everybody. I think you're missing my point - the HR lady could be a chat bot in this, dark future.
Yes but only if the HR worker was running it themselves. If you mean their account could be compromised that's a serious problem, but a compromised employee account is already a pretty serious problem that good threat models take into account.

Public platforms are another matter, and that will be a new circle of hell.

The person totally missed the point.
Then what is the point? Account compromise is already a serious danger today. AI makes it worse, but it doesn't make it a new problem.
Salesforce: "Okay we've made notification filtering impossible and meaningless, we hide everything in threads so it's impossible to follow group chats, any ideas for how we can make Slack even worse?"
