This rei-fies Disruption. I think on the whole, while I also do this, and speak like this, it's a mistake.

If you replaced "disruption" with "irritation" -and consider what you're doing to your co-workers, friends, even (I hate to say) adversaries, then "disruption" as "irritation" is why people talk about "the squeeky wheel" problem.

Learning not to be that guy, is a huge life lesson. Most of the people I admire are not into disruption nearly as much as others. I could even say those who are, have a very strong element of self-promotion.

"wait, should we do this, lets not jump off a cliff like lemmings" is not disruption, it's sanity checking.

"lemmings didn't jump off cliffs, thats a hollywood myth" is not disruption it's nit-picking factoids ignoring the message.
