I've been following this company for quite a while because the owner has interesting ideas and considerations when it comes to employment policies etc. Generally seems like a great company.
I'm dismayed not just to hear of Stripe freezing funds suddenly and presumably without real reason, but so many comments saying how common they hear this with Stripe.
Has Stripe been going downhill / the way of Paypal? I don't keep up quite the way I used to, but it used to be that they were the new, greatly improved, best customer service processor.
I don't think it's inevitable, because governments notice what large financial companies do. It might be aaaaaalmost inevitable, depending on who's got the best lobbyists. Let's hope not.
