Nice! CAD and CAM, in some cases, really benefit from single thread performance. Parasolid, as an example, often needs to be run single threaded due to interdependencies in the data model and the geometry kernel itself.

For a while now there have been upper limits on model complexity imposed by CPU clock rates.

7ghz means being able to process some models as intended, not broken into parts and or globbed together.

Appears the 6.5Ghz multi-core overclock was achieved with only water-cooling rather than an active solution like LN2. Impressive.
