I agree with sibling comment(s) that in tech it is less idle to focus on growing your income. But I'd like to point this out:

> 15. Get Rid of Subscriptions You Don’t Use

> When was the last time you audited all the subscriptions you pay for? Take a few moments, review what you’ve subscribed to, and cancel any that aren’t serving you anymore.

This advice doesn't go far enough in today's subscription-based environment for consumer products. For most services, it's better that you cancel your subscription immediately when subscribing to a new service that you are not absolutely sure you will continue using every week.

Great point, sometimes I’ll schedule time in my to do app to cancel it before it switches to the paid subscription so I can still get the benefit of the freebie for a while
The thing is following deals sites, getting the best credit cards and the best price for a given product is practically a full time job. Amazon decreases the price on some product by 90% for 15min - if you don't check the site in this interval you missed it.

IMHO it's a far better strategy to spend your time on growing your business or salary. Also don't buy crap just because it's discounted (unless you have a ton of free storage). Minimalist living is very satisfying.

I totally agree with you that a great strategy is to focus on increasing income. But I can't help but enjoying saving $20 here and $50 there.
