I don’t think that’s a convincing argument. That ‘trend’ also could be caused by a lead time of about a year on fines being doled out (issues must be reported, investigations done, the accused must be given time to respond to the initial report, etc)

Also: “one fine a day” sounds like a lot, but that’s about one a month per country in the EU.

Was that income intended, kind of a real goal behind GDPR-ing down the Internets?
The mistake is gdpr itself.
