The HN article title "What Causes Depression" is at odds with the article's actual content, which is about an individual being burned out due to a poor work-life balance. I think this ought to be resubmitted with a title that reflects that.

Agreed. The author seems to generalize his personal experience by assuming that every case of depression is just like his own.

Apologies for generalising in the title as I certainly do not think everyone has the same root cause of depression.
