Netop is a simple (less 1k SLOC) utility to transfer files over the network. No pre-existing infrastructure except tcp-connectivity is needed. Can be easily ported almost everywhere.
As a matter of fact, already ported to Unix (including Android) and Windows. Has prebuilt binaries and the source available.
What's even cooler is the following. The OS X "Universal" binary supports 5 hardware platforms (ppc, ppc64, i386, x86_64, arm64) - every OS X capable hardware known to mankind. And will run natively everywhere from Jaguar on G3 to the BigSur+ on Apple Silicon.
Handy to use when transferring large amounts of data from one PC to another. Super useful for retro computer file sharing.
