It's not exactly new? There were several general betting market in crypto, but they never got much popularity.

Nothing new and betting on anything is not that innovative. The problem will always be the same: there won’t be much of a market (very low # of participants) for many bets.

liqudity is the technical term.

Betfair was lobbying in US for a long time to get a legal toehold and failed. I wonder what has changed.
