LA's got a few more well-hidden oil wells nearby. While Hope Tower's now gone, LA Magazine had a feature a few years ago that described a couple other oil wells hidden in plain sight. https://www.lamag.com/citythinkblog/hidden-oil-wells/
It's a shame that that lobby's been closed to the public for decades. Seems like it would have been an interesting place to kill a half hour or so on an idle saturday. Though if you go around the corner on the street view, you can see them doing work on the well, bringing in a crane of some sort
