I liked it! It took me to another world where the rules are different and kept me guessing. My interpretation is this is a story where the “god” is actually the one asking the questions rather than being all knowing which is an interesting role reversal from what we traditionally think of gods. But I don’t take this as a religious story per se.
Also another analogy is having kids, with the parents being amazed or maybe angry with how they turned out, but the kids are now grown up and are not intimidated by the anger.
Thank you so much for going through this story. I really liked your interpretations. Honestly, I never thought of interpretations while writing. My idea was that this universe, all there is, us - we are all stories happening, or waiting to happen in this cosmos. I wanted to write a story about story.
