frettr allows you to select a YouTube video of any song and then shows the chords played in the song as the video plays. frettr also has full playback functionality, so you can slow down songs to learn them more throughly, as well as capo and transposition options additionally.
hi ksaj, frettr has that feature- it's just denoted as "tune up 1/2 step" because the chords are tuned up in the recognition process. I'll change it to "tune down 1/2 step" though because I see how it's confusing. I'm a big SRV and Hendrix guy, so I couldn't forget to add this in development though. thx for the feedback! -grudnyai22
It should be called "transpose up 1/2 step". E.g. if the song has an Eb m chord that you'd like to play using an Em fingering on your detuned instrument, the notation needs to be transposed up 1/2 step.
sorry about that- after a certain amount of requests per unit time, YouTube blocks requests and gives an 'HTTP 429 error: Too Many Requests.' If anyone has any possible solutions to this, please reach out! thx -grudnyai22
