I wonder how much of those hours are spent by bots. I have a simple script to move my character around to get around the 20-minute AFK detection.

While games are great, one wonders if their time could have been spent better elsewhere.

I've easily racked up 10,000+ hours in first person shooters during my teen years. While I'm sure this has had positive effects on my reaction times and decision making skills, it did not directly prepare me for employment in my adult years.
