We were running through interview Q's we found online and I thought it'd be best to have us answer them randomly, with a 10 second timer and running for 10 minutes each time - just to add some realism to the simulation.
We've never interviewed before, so we don't know too much about what actual questions will come up. What we have found though is that these questions help us hone our pitch a lot. Regardless of a YC interview, being able to answer these questions confidently will probably benefit your mission.
Pretty cool! I think all founders could use this to prepare for investor meetings, not just YC meetings. Additional features could include a pause button to stop the timer, click on an ‘explain this to me’ link, and a continue button.
Thanks a lot! Yes, we have found these questions really useful in improving our responses when we have meetings with investors. It teaches you to really explain the crux of the question as simply as possible.
