I'm not up on the details of what happened, and a lot of it seemed a bit like muck-raking to me, but: A lot of people have been advocating for "reconsidering" donations to the FSFE ever since the FSFellowship (formerly the FSFE Fellowship) split from the FSFE in 2018.
