Besides it says that it is more likely that Discord will go public instead of selling. No deal is imminent.

If MS buys discord, I'm deleting my discord account

remember folks, irc is still, and always was free.

Unfortunately it is banned in many places as it used to be commonly used as a command centre to manage botnets.
