The NYT article reminds me of that terrible Bloomberg article on Supermicro hardware being backdoored. Nice to see that Jetbrains have a response out quickly :)
This is a situation where there is nothing Jetbrains can say to totally remove doubt given the link to Russia. It is akin to the famous question: "Do you still beat your wife?"
I certainly hope they don't [beat their wife]... I love Jetbrains software.
I think making these claims against Jetbrains without firm proof, proof that is disclosed, is poor behavior. I expect that this will turn out to be a false story and if it is, I hope the NYT pays for it financially.

The claim is that intelligence agencies are investigating. Unless that's a total fabrication, there would be no basis for any kind of suit.
