Control shift: why newspaper hacks are switching to Substack (theguardian.com)

Does substack have an offering where you can pay a fixed amount and get unlimited subscriptions? I know quite a few authors I like who are on substack, but I don't want to pay 5 dollars for each, but might pay 5-10 dollars for all.
Or maybe a nickel a day for each source (or topical group) you -choose- to -access- (not subscribe to) up to some max (10?) where you get it all.

There are very few people I'd check in on daily. Could be a quarter for the past week's worth of -a source-. Show me the headlines, let me decide. Comics? Crosswords? And show me the accounting right on the same page.

This sounds like a newspaper subscription...
$5 a month? Not a chance. Good luck getting 1000 people to pay that.
Like a lot of things, a select few will be able to draw many thousands and the vast majority will get very few.
