Genuine question: what's the benefit here over some cache plugins. In particular over cache plugins that work even before php is invoked by editing the .htaccess file and son.

I'm asking because this solution seems to require to keep a WordPress site online, so at that point I don't see the real benefit of duplicating it instead of optimizing it with an advanced cache system (which is basically a static version of the site)

You can actually deploy from localhost using the Sitesauce CLI[1] and avoid having a server in the first place.

Interesting idea, but what if I don’t want unlimited sites and unlimited team members, but maybe one or two sites for one person... $19 for teams is ok, but that for smaller sites is a bit expensive. And there are no other options I can see... would be interested in trying it, but would like to see more pricing options too...
